Quick & easy-to-use conjugation kits for over 45 labels.
Antibody conjugation, also known as antibody labeling, chemically links an antibody to a specific tag. When conjugated, a primary antibody directly detects the target antigen of interest, without the need for a secondary antibody. Labels can include fluorescent dyes, enzymes or proteins and your choice or combination of labels will depend on the experimental application (multiplex IHC, flow cytometry, LFA, others), as well as your multiplex panel. Conjugated primary antibodies can directly detect the target antigen without the aid of secondary antibodies. Using directly labeled primary antibodies can save you a lot of time and simplify your experimental protocols.
Our Lightning-Link® conjugation kits are easy to use and allow you to conjugate antibodies in three simple steps to more than 45 labels including fluorescent proteins (Alexa Fluor® and DyLight Fluor® dyes), tandem dyes, enzymes, oligonucleotides, and gold nanoparticles. Use our fluorescent dye chart to choose the right dye to build your next multiplex IHC panel. To generate high-quality conjugates we recommend using Lightning-Link® conjugation kits to conjugate our range of carrier-free antibodies and antibody pairs specifically designed for antibody labeling. We offer 10,000 formulations free from glycerol, BSA and sodium azide to reduce antibody loss and maximize conjugation efficiency. If your antibody does not meet these buffer requirements, you can easily purify or concentrate using our range of purification and concentration kits.

Easily purify or concentrate antibodies from serum, tissue culture supernatant (TCS), and ascites fluid.
Antibody purification kits can be used to purify antibodies, as depending on your supplier, commercially manufactured antibodies can contain substances that may interfere with applications such as antibody conjugation. When an antibody does not meet your buffer requirements, you can easily purify or concentrate from serum, tissue culture supernatant (TCS), and ascites fluid using our range of purification and concentration kits.
Sample preparation kits provide all the reagents you need to standardize and often speed up your workflow.
Our range of chromogens to complete your IHC experiment.
Chromogens are compounds that produce a visible color after a chemical reaction, making them essential for visualizing target antigens in immunohistochemistry (IHC). When used with enzyme-linked antibodies, chromogens allow researchers to detect specific proteins in tissue samples. Abcam offers a wide range of chromogen and substrate kits designed for reliable, high-quality staining, providing clear and consistent results to support your IHC experiments.
More specific and sensitive staining, even with low abundance markers.
Abcam offers an unrivaled range of recombinant, IHC-validated antibodies and IHC antibody panels for key immuno-oncology targets. We also offer IHC kits, reagents, and accessories designed to help you get specific and sensitive staining even when detecting low abundance markers.
We collaborated with NanoString to develop GeoMx Protein Assays, high-plex cocktails of oligonucleotide-labeled antibodies bound to tissue sections using standard IHC staining methods. These assays are powered by our IHC-validated recombinant antibodies to ensure high-quality results you can trust.
Kits for a variety of samples to help you progress in ChIP.
Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) kits are kits that enable you to perform ChIP experiments quickly and easily. ChIP assays use an antibody to bind a specific protein or modified protein. In the assay, chromatin regions associated with this protein are captured for analysis, typically with qPCR or sequencing.
Our portfolio of ChIP kits includes kits for use with a wide variety of samples (eg plant tissues, FFPE, or low cell numbers) as well as high sensitivity and one-step kits - our most popular ChIP kit (ab500) has over 130 references from our customers. We also offer ChIP-grade antibodies, validated to a higher standard in ChIP-qPCR or ChIP-seq, to use with our kits to provide further opportunities for success in your downstream sequencing.
